JAN 28 1981 % 45 PAGE704 <br />ITEM 1 - CP #35 RELATES TO THE ROOMS IN THE. ADMINISTRATION <br />BUILDING WHERE THERE WAS WATER DAMAGE TO THE WALLS CAUSED BY LEAKS <br />IN THE ROOF. <br />ITEM 2 - CP #38 RELATES TO INSTALLATION OF SOFFITS OVER THE <br />ENTRANCE DOOR TO THE NEW COMMISSION ROOM AND THE PATIO DOOR. <br />ITEM 3 - CP #39 IS THE DOOR WHICH WAS DISCUSSED ABOVE. <br />ITEM 4 - CP #41 CONCERNS THE INSIDE OF THE VAULT IN THE <br />TAX COLLECTOR'S AREA. THE EXISTING WALLS WERE NOT ACCEPTABLE AS A <br />FINISH, AND NOW WE WILL END UP WITH A DRYWALL FINISH. <br />COMMISSIONER FLETCHER STATED THAT IT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL <br />IF MR. KONTOULAS COULD REFER TO THE SAME PAGE NUMBERS PUT ON THEIR <br />COPIES OF THE CHANGE ORDERS BY MRS. FORLANI, AND THE CHAIRMAN CONCURRED. <br />ITEM 5 - CP #42 IS IN THE AREA OF THE WELFARE DEPARTMENT, <br />WHICH ROOMS WERE THE OLD EXISTING WALK-IN REFRIGERATORS. AND FREEZERS. <br />IT IS NECESSARY TO FINISH THESE ROOMS; ALSO, THE REFRIGERATOR DOORS <br />ARE ONLY 6'6", AND WE NEED 7'2" OPENING. THE LAST ITEM CONCERNS <br />THE DRIVER'S LICENSING AREA, WHICH IS RENTABLE AREA. THEY ARE PROVID- <br />ING THEIR OWN COUNTERS AND WILL HAVE A LARGE AMOUNT OF ELECTRICAL <br />EQUIPMENT; THE JUNCTION BOX IS NEEDED FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. ISR. <br />KONTOULAS STATED THAT THIS JUNCTION BOX IS AGAIN AN OMISSION OF THE <br />ARCHITECTS AS THEY WERE AWARE OF THE EQUIPMENT ON THE COUNTERS. <br />MR. KONTOULAS RECOMMENDED THAT CHANGE ORDER #13 BE APPROVED <br />IN ITS ENTIRETY. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER FLETCHER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCURLOCK, COMMISSIONER WODTKE BEING ABSENT FROM THE MEETING, THE BOARD <br />APPROVED CHANGE ORDER #13 FOR THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, INCLUDING <br />THE NORMAL STIPULATION THAT BY APPROVING THE CHANGE ORDER, THE COUNTY <br />DOES NOT WAIVE ANY RIGHTS IT HAS TO CLAIM DAMAGES AGAINST THE CONTRAC- <br />TOR OR THE ARCHITECT BECAUSE OF OMISSIONS OR OTHER REASONS THAT MAY <br />ARISE. <br />
