SECTION 01300 <br />SUBMITTALS <br />PART 1 -GENERAL <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS <br />A. This Section specifies the general methods and requirements of submissions applicable <br />to Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples, Construction Photographs, and Construction <br />or Submittal Schedules. Additional general submission requirements are contained in <br />Article 6.17 of the General Conditions. Detailed submittal requirements are specified in the <br />technical Sections. <br />B All submittals shall be clearly identified by reference to Section Number, Paragraph, <br />Drawing Number or Detail as applicable. Submittals shall be clear and legible and of <br />sufficient size for presentation of data. <br />C. The Contractor is to maintain an accurate updated submittal log and will bring this log to <br />each scheduled progress meeting with the Owner and the Engineer. This log should <br />include the following items: <br />1. Submittal -Description and File number assigned. <br />2. Date to Engineer. <br />3. Date returned to Contractor from Engineer. <br />4. Status of submittal (approved/resubmit/rejected). <br />5. Date of resubmittal and return (as applicable). <br />6. Date material released for fabrication. <br />7. Projected date of fabrication. <br />8. Projected date of delivery to site. <br />9. Status of O&M submittal. <br />1.02 SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA, SAMPLES <br />A. Shop Drawings <br />1. Shop drawings as specified in individual Sections include, custom -prepared data <br />such as fabrication and erection/installation (working) drawings, scheduled <br />information, setting diagrams, actual shop work manufacturing instructions, custom <br />templates, special wiring diagrams, coordination drawings, individual system or <br />equipment inspection and test reports including performance curves and <br />certifications, as applicable to the work. <br />2. All shop drawings submitted by subcontractors shall be sent directly to the <br />Contractor for checking. The Contractor shall be responsible for their submission at <br />the proper time so as to prevent delays in delivery of materials <br />3. Check all subcontractors' shop drawings regarding measurements. size of members <br />materials and details to make sure that they conform to the intent of the Drawings <br />and related Sections. Return shop drawings found to be inaccurate or otherwise in <br />error to the subcontractors for correction before submission thereof. <br />4. All details on shop drawings shall show clearly the relation of the various parts to the <br />main members and lines of the structure and where correct fabrication of the work <br />depends upon field measurements, such measurements shall be made and noted <br />on the drawings before being submitted. <br />01300-1 <br />DADIViSION 1'\01300 Submitlals.doc <br />
