M« m m <br />J. B. NORTON, CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, APPROACHED THE BOARD <br />AND DISCUSSED THE SITE FOR RAMPMASTER, INC. IN THE COUNTY, AND STATED <br />THAT THERE WAS NO WATER AVAILABLE OUT IN THAT PARTICULAR AREA. <br />CHAIRMAN LYONS STRESSED THAT THE WORDS IN THE PROPOSED <br />RESOLUTION HAVE TO BE WORDS THE BOARD CAN LIVE WITH - THAT IS ALL <br />THEY WERE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH. SINCE THE ATTORNEY HAS RAISED SEVERAL <br />QUESTIONS ON COMMITMENTS THAT ARE IN THE RESOLUTION AND AGREEMENT, <br />HE FELT IT SHOULD BE REWORDED SO THAT THE COMMISSIONERS WOULD FEEL <br />COMFORTABLE SIGNING THE DOCUMENTS, <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED AND IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT SEVERAL BOARD <br />MEMBERS TRAVEL TO RAMPMASTERS, INC. IN FORT LAUDERDALE TO SEE EXACTLY <br />WHAT TYPE OF INDUSTRY THEY HAVE. <br />COMMISSIONER BIRD STATED THAT HE AND ASSISTANT COUNTY <br />ATTORNEY HOULIHAN WOULD MEET WITH THE PEOPLE FROM RAMPMASTERS, INC. <br />IN ORDER TO POLISH UP THE RESOLUTION AND AGREEMENT, AND BRING IT <br />BACK TO THE BOARD FOR REVIEW. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER BIRD, TO APPROVE OUT -OF -COUNTY TRAVEL FOR COMMISSIONERS WHO <br />WISH TO VISIT RAMPMASTERS, INC. IN FORT LAUDERDALE. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. IT WAS VOTED ON AND <br />CARRIED WITH'A VOTE OF 4 TO 1, WITH COMMISSIONER FLETCHER VOTING IN <br />OPPOSITION. <br />GIFFORD WATER <br />COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK BRIEFLY REPORT ON THE RECENT MEETING <br />OF THE ADVISORY BOARD FOR GIFFORD WATER & SEWER. HE POINTED OUT THAT <br />THEY ARE TRYING TO GET AS MANY PEOPLE ON THE SYSTEM AS POSSIBLE, AND <br />SPOKE OF THE PROBLEM OF COLLECTING THE ACCOUNTS THAT ARE IN ARREARS. <br />HE COMMENTED THAT PROCEDURES WILL BE TAKEN BY THE ATTORNEY AND <br />UTILITIES DIRECTOR LINER TO DEVELOP A METHOD TO COLLECT THE DELINQUENT <br />ACCOUNTS. <br />BOON 46 .PAGE 841 <br />JUL 15 1991 19 <br />c <br />
