plow <br />V-1, <br />Building Ordinatice continued <br />(3) When application for permit is approved and before a permit <br />is issued, a fee therefor shall be paid as established in a Schedule of <br />Fees by Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida. <br />Section 22. INSPECTIONS. <br />(1) All new electrical work, and such portions of existing instal- <br />lations as may be affected by new work or any changes, shall be inspected to in- <br />sure compliance with all the requirements of this code and to assure that the in- <br />stallation and construction of the electrical system is in accordance with approved <br />plans. <br />(2) All piping or tubing to be concealed, shall be in place; all junc- <br />tions shall be soldered and left untaped, or approved mechanical connectors may <br />be used. If due to,..structural conditions, panels cannot be set, such adapters <br />shall be in place before meters are installed or system otherwise energized. No <br />such wiring or installation shall be considered ready for inspection until com- <br />pleted as outlined above. <br />(3)* When the electrical work in any building for which a permit has <br />been obtained, is ready for inspection, it shall be the duty of the person in <br />charge of work to give notice in writing on forms furnished at the office of the <br />Building Official, stating the location of the work, name of the owner, name of <br />the person in charge of the work and the name of the -person doing the work. <br />(4) It shall 'be unlawful to lathe, seal or in any manner conceal any <br />electrical wiring or equipment until same has been inspected and approved.. Ser -- <br />vice switch and distribution panel must be set and wired: <br />(5) In large and complicated jobs, the work may be inspected in sec - <br />.tions, on the approval of the Building Official. <br />(G) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to use <br />any electric current in or through any wiring apparatus or for light, <br />heat or potrer in any building'or structure subject to this resolution before <br />the same shall have been inspected and approved by the Building Official. <br />(7) The electrical installation or part thereof shall not be cov- <br />ered until it has been inspected, tested and approved as prescribed in this <br />section. If an electrical installation or part thereof is covered before being <br />inspected, tested and approved, it shall be uncovered upon the direction of the <br />-Building Official. <br />Section 23. CERTIFICATE OF P,PPROVAL. <br />.r. <br />(1) Upon the satisfactory completion of the roughing -in inspection, <br />approval shall be so noted on the Electrical Permit Card. This approval shall <br />give the date of the roughing -in inspection and the initials or the inspector. <br />(2) Upon the satisfactory completion and final test of the electrical <br />installation, a certificate of approval shall be issued by the Building Official <br />to be delivered to the owner. <br />1 Section 24: EXISTIMG INSTALLATIONS. <br />(1) If more than Fifty percent (50'!,) of a System that does not con- <br />form to this code is remodeled or altered, the entire system shall be reconstruc- <br />ted to conform to this code. <br />(2) A circuit of an existing system which does not conform to this <br />code shall not be extended or added to until the entire circuit shall have been <br />reconstructed to conform to this coda. <br />Section 25.
