Phase II Improvements: <br />Payment to the ENGINEER shall be the total payroll cost of salaries <br />and wages for personnel assigned to the Project, times a factor of 2.1 to <br />provide for general overhead and profit, plus the actual cost of reimbursable <br />expenses as defined hereinafter.' Such compensation to the ENGINEER shall not <br />exceed $300,000.00 without OWNER'S written authorization. <br />The payroll cost of salaries and wages used as a basis for payment <br />shall mean the cost of salaries and wages paid to principals and employees <br />engaged directly on the Project, including, but not limited to, engineers, <br />architects, surveymen, designers, draftsmen, specification writers, estimators, <br />stenographers and clerks, plus cost of fringe benefits including, but not <br />limited to, social security contributions, unemployment, excise and payroll <br />taxes, workmen's compensation, health and retirement benefits, pensions, sick <br />leave, vacation, and holiday pay applicable thereto. <br />Reimbursable expenses shall mean the actual expense of transportation <br />and subsistence of principals and employees when traveling in connection with <br />the Project, field office expenses, resident Project representative's subsistence <br />and transportation, toll telephone calls and telegrams, reproduction of reports, <br />drawings and specifications, and similar Project related items. <br />SECTION C - ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />In addition to the foregoing being performed, the following services may be <br />provided UPON -WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION OF THE OI,1NER: <br />1. Site Surveys for pumping stations, water storage tanks. <br />2. Laboratory tests, well tests, borings, specialized geological, <br />hydraulic or other studies recommended by the ENGINEER. <br />3. Property surveys, detailed descriptions of sites, maps, drawings, <br />or estimates related thereto; assistance in negotiating for land <br />and easement rights. <br />4. Necessary data and filing maps for water rights, water adjudica- <br />tion, and litigation. <br />5. Redesigns ordered by the OWNER after final plans have been accepted <br />by the OWNER. <br />6. Appearances before courts or boards on matters of litigation <br />related to the project. <br />Page Six <br />
