It was <br />voted on and carried unanimously to allow a density of 2 <br />units per acre on the Hugh Smith property. <br />PROPOSED TRANSIENT MERCHANT AND FLEA MARKET ORDINANCE <br />The Administrator recommended that the Board authorize <br />advertisement of the proposed ordinance, as set out in the <br />following memo: <br />TO: The Honorable Board of DATE: November 10, 1981 FILE: <br />County Commissioners <br />FROM: NeiNelson <br />County Administrator <br />SUBJECT: PROPOSED TRANSIENT MERCHANT <br />AND FLEA MARKET ORDINANCE <br />REFERENCES: <br />6 8 910 <br />' `� <br />NOV 1981 <br />f A� ja1 rs <br />" �G 4'G 6v - <br />It is recommended that the data herein presented be gi rural <br />consideration by th'e County Commission. <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS: <br />The Board of County Commissioners 'at their meeting of October 7, lye_, <br />recommended that the Administrative Staff prepare an ordinance for <br />their review on a proposed Transient Merchant and Flea Market <br />Ordinance. <br />A meeting was held on October 19, 1981, with Messers. Lawrence A. <br />Barkett, J. B. Norton, of the Chamber of Commerce, David Greene, C. B. <br />Hardin, and David Rever of the -County Staff to discuss an all-encom- <br />passing, Transient Merchant and Flea Market Ordinance for Indian <br />River County. The input and suggestions to the County Staff and <br />Planning and Zoning Department from those in attendance, along with <br />other available data was used in preparing this ordinance. <br />This ordinance has been reviewed by the Assistant County Attorney, <br />Steve Houlihan, and is to be presented to the Board of County Com- <br />missioners for their approval. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />The Board of County Commissioners agreed there was a'need for such an <br />ordinance and recommended that such an ordinance be created for their <br />consideration. This document has been written and is presented for <br />their approval. <br />RECO12-IENDATION: <br />The ordinance submitted at this time should be properly advertised <br />4 nsidered for adoption ublic hearing before t my <br />W'sion..
