Lengthy discussion took place, and it was determined <br />that there was a distinct advantage to designing the County's <br />fleet. The Board thanked Mr. Goodrich for his informative <br />presentation, which enlightened them all. <br />BID RECOMMENDATION #115 <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Wodtke, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, that the Board accept Bid #115, as <br />recommended by the Bid Committee, of Fort Pierce Dodge for <br />a 1/2 Ton Pickup Truck as being'the lowest and best bid <br />meeting specifications, in the amount of $6,690.65, Account <br />#102-220-519-66-42. <br />Discussion followed, and it was suggested that the <br />weight and carrying capacity should be noted in the bid. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was <br />voted on and carried with a vote of 4 to 1, with Commissioner <br />Lyons voting in opposition. <br />BID RECOMMENDATION #113 <br />On Motion by Commissioner Wodtke, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously accepted Bid #113, <br />as recommended by the Bid Committee, of Fort Pierce Dodge <br />-for a 1/2 Ton Truck, 4 x 4, as -being the lowest and best bid <br />meeting specifications, in the amount of $10,562.01, Account <br />#102-210-572-66-42. <br />Chairman Scurlock inquired about employees taking <br />County vehicles home. <br />Administrator Nelson responded that they, as yet, <br />have not established their car pool policy. <br />BID RECOMMENDATION #114 <br />The Board reviewed the recommendation of the Bid <br />Committee, which was for the low bidder - Taylor-Munnell in the <br />amount of $9,495. <br />49 <br />A <br />
