FEB 21982 um 48 P4sF . <br />Commissioner Bird stated that his preference would <br />be to go with the local dealer, Pippin Tractor, who made <br />the second lowest bid. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Bird, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, that the Board accept the Bid of the <br />second lowest bidder, Pippin Tractor, for a 1982 Tractor with <br />a 5' Rotary Mower, as being the best bid meeting specifications, <br />in the amount of $9,820, Account #411-217-534-66-43, on the <br />basis that the maintenance might be lower With Massey - <br />Ferguson equipment. <br />Rex Hailey, Landfill Supervisor, agreed with <br />Commissioner Bird and stated he was going strictly on the <br />manufacturer's years of service. He thought that the Road & <br />Bridge Department had some experience with a number of-' <br />machines of this type. <br />Commissioner Bird felt that the resale value of the <br />Massey Ferguson would be greater. <br />Commissioner Lyons felt that the overall cost was <br />going to be less. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />The Chairman called for the question.
