9 *E 52 <br />MAR 31982 <br />Chairman Scurlock felt it is better re net gain to keep <br />the funds invested. Coordinator Thomas agreed, noting that <br />last year, we averaged better than 170, he commented that we <br />may well want to consider more extensive leasing as part of <br />our budget this coming year. <br />Commissioner Lyons did not feel we should authorize the <br />purchase unless we can put it in a specific account, but <br />Attorney Brandenburg pointed out that the lease on the <br />equipment expires prior to the next regular meeting. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, to purchase the Lanier "No Problem" Word <br />Processor for the County Attorney's office and that it be <br />funded as recommended by Mr. Thomas and Mr. Barton. <br />Commissioner Wodtke envisioned that due to the length <br />of today's agenda, there will be a Board meeting again next <br />Wednesday, and he asked if the Commission at this time could <br />just indicate that we will purchase the equipment requested. <br />Commissioner Lyons withdrew his Motion and Commissioner <br />Bird withdrew his second. <br />In further discussion, the Board indicated that they do <br />approve the purchase requested by the Attorney, and they <br />will decide on the funding next Wednesday. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Fletcher, the Board unanimously continued the <br />above matter to Wednesday, March 10th. <br />CONTINUE DISCUSSION RE DEFERRED, PAYMENT FOR WATER & SEWER <br />HOOK-UP <br />Utility Director Liner informed the Board that the <br />County's easy payment plan for impact fees ended about last <br />December, and thirty-seven people took advantage of that <br />type of payment arrangement. Mr. Liner reported that he now <br />has a list of seventeen additional residents who would like <br />the same privilege, and he would like to suggest that the <br />easy payment plan be reopened for a certain period of time <br />
