� i r <br />street, which he felt were going to be the most expensive in <br />the County. <br />Mr. Davis commented that they want to acquire 10' from <br />the property owners in order for the 10' corridor, and if <br />the property owners do not agree to sell the 101, then they <br />might have to go to condemnation. He advised that the <br />estimate of cost of the rights-of-way from 20th to 29th <br />Avenue was approximately $90,000. <br />Commissioner Wodtke inquired if this corridor was all <br />on County roads. <br />Mr. Davis advised that most of it was but there was a <br />small portion of DOT property on 27th Avenue. <br />Commissioner Wodtke again expressed his interest to <br />have more interplay with the School Board. <br />Commissioner Fletcher advised that he talked to <br />Superintendent Burns about the future plans of the School <br />Board. He continued that.they were encouraging them to put <br />in a parking lot on the site; he believed this to be a <br />potential problem and that it should be addressed now. <br />Discussion ensued about Citrus Bowl parking. <br />Commissioner Fletcher advised their committee discussed <br />the possibility of eliminating the parking at that location. <br />He then spoke of the traffic that was generated because of <br />various school activities. <br />Lengthy discussion followed about what improvements <br />would take place east of 14th Avenue. <br />Mr. Davis advised they would be widening the pavement <br />to three lanes, with a shoulder, a bike path and some swale <br />drainage. <br />Chairman Scurlock stated that this was a total look at <br />the situation on 16th Street and the committee has come up <br />with their best solution; it was a joint effort which got <br />full support. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Fletcher, that the Board accept Alternate #1 <br />MAR 171982 61 nox 49 FAL► <br />J <br />
