Goetzfried REFERENCES: <br />911 Project Coordinator <br />The implementation of the Enhanced 911 Program for Indian River <br />County is 70% complete, with an anticipated cutover date of <br />October 1, 1982. <br />The task of cataloging all streets in the County has been completed. <br />At this time the Planning staff is in the process of resolving <br />any discrepancies that may have occurred in the original data <br />collection. <br />Southern Bell has set a target date of June 8, 1982 for the reso- <br />lution of the discrepancy file, however, staff estimates this <br />task will be completed by May 3, 1982, at which time, Southern <br />Bell customer records will concur with all data inputted by <br />Indian River County; the ultimate goal in providing emergency <br />service to the residents of our County <br />_ V: , - <br />The computer equipment, for dispatching purposes, to be located <br />at the Sheriff's office and the Vero Beach Police Department will <br />be arriving June 3, 1982. One month is allotted for the installa- <br />tion of the equipment allowing three months for the testing of <br />the hardware and software. <br />Many community functions are planned to instill public awareness <br />and cooperation. All public relations will be coordinated with <br />Southern Bell. <br />The County has fulfilled its responsibilities in a timely manner.. <br />The Enhanced 911 Program will be available to the residents of <br />Indian.River County on October 1, 1982 as originally anticipated. <br />MAR 171982 <br />74 <br />mai 49 pie 217 3 <br />
