2. Install a guide/info nnat ion si-n such as "Jungle Trail-Scenic <br />Road - Slows-Loving Vehicles" at each end of Jungle Trail. This <br />sign would provide the following benefits: <br />a. A non -posted but flexible speed limit utilizing provisions <br />in Florida Statutes Chapter 315.183 (Unlawful Speed), 316.185 <br />(Special Hazards) and 316.1925 (Careless Driving). These <br />sections basically state that "no person shall drive a vehicle <br />on a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent <br />under the conditions and having regard to the actual and poten- <br />tial hazards, then existing".; and <br />b. Aesthetic benefits from the minimal use of signs. <br />Recommendation <br />To provide flexible and appropriate traffic control for Jungle Trail, <br />Alternative #2 is recommended. A sample of the recommended sign, based <br />upon standards of design and communication presented in the manual On <br />Uniform Traffic Control Devices, is available and has been accep-te by <br />the Jungle Trail Committee. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Fletcher, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously accepted Alternate <br />2 as recommended by the Assistant Administrator in his <br />memorandum of April 12, 1982. <br />WATER MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP <br />Mr. Greene.suggested having a workshop meeting with the <br />St. Johns River Water Management District and the Department <br />of Environmental Regulation regarding storm water <br />management. <br />After some discussion, it was recommended by the Board <br />that a workshop be held on April 28, 1982 from 10:00 A.M. to <br />12:00 Noon in the Commission Chambers. <br />FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT - POLE AGREEMENT <br />Engineer Jim Davis reviewed the following memorandum <br />concerning the Joint Pole Use Agreement: ✓ <br />APR 211982 ��ox 49 PALE -405 5 <br />
