Discussion followed as to how soon the Sheriff would need <br />this space, and it was agreed to leave the starting date <br />f lexible. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Wodtke, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, to authorize the Sheriff to execute and sign <br />the lease with the School Board of Indian River County with the <br />changes that were discussed today and also to insert a beginning <br />date. <br />Commissioner Bird commented that the Section re Maintenance <br />and Repair states that we will return the building in <br />substantially the same condition as it was, and he, therefore, <br />believed any modifications should be as minimal as possible. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was voted on and <br />carried unanimously. <br />Said Lease Agreement will be made a part of the Minutes when <br />fully executed and received. <br />AGREEMENT FOR PURCHASE OF IXORA UTILITIES, INC. <br />Attorney Brandenburg summarized the purchase agreement, <br />explaining that for the total sum of $225,000, the County would <br />receive the entire Ixora Utilities water and sewer system and all <br />real property upon which the system sits. He reviewed all county <br />costs, noting that the contract is contingent on the County <br />agreeing to release any claim to the $1,000 per week escrow <br />deposit order placed on Ixora Utilities by Judge Sharp. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, to authorize the Chairman to sign the <br />Agreement between the County and Ixora Utilities and to authorize <br />the Chairman and the Attorney to take all action necessary to <br />proceed with closing on the system. <br />Commissioner Fletcher inquired about financing the $225,000, <br />and Attorney Brandenburg explained that this amount has been <br />included in the 2.017 million bond issue of which FmHA has <br />indicated approval. <br />75 <br />MAY 51982 BOOK 49 �PA9E 559 <br />
