JUN 16 1992 BOOK 5(f mu 24 <br />arrangement with the City of Vero Beach be reached through <br />negotiations with the County Attorney regarding the <br />proportion of their funds. <br />Discussion ensued, and it was determined that the - <br />recording equipment would be located in the Sheriff's <br />Department. <br />Sergeant Reese of the Sheriff's Department talked about <br />their present recorder, which has not worked for several <br />years. When the recording equipment is purchased for the <br />911 System, he thought it would be beneficial if it were <br />equipped to handle everything, including all the radio <br />transmissions. <br />Commissioner Lyons withdrew his Motion and Commissioner <br />Wodtke withdrew his second. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, that the Board approve $13,629 for <br />purchase of the recording equipment, and that the <br />Administrator come back to the Board with a recommendation <br />as to how the funds should be allocated, together with a <br />recommendation to the City_.that they purchase their <br />recording equipment. <br />The Vice Chairman called for the question. It was <br />voted on and the vote was 2 to 2, with Commissioners Lyons <br />and Wodtke voting in favor, and Commissioner Bird and Vice <br />Chairman Fletcher voting in opposition. <br />MOTION was made by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, that the Board approve <br />$13,629 for purchase of the recording equipment, <br />and that the Administrator come back to the <br />Board with a recommendation as to how the funds <br />should be allocated, together with a <br />recommendation to the City that they purchase <br />their recording equipment; and if time permits, <br />_ =23 r <br />
