JUN 16 1982 man 50 PAGE 44 <br />Ornamental Iron Works with the bid amount of <br />$2,719 increased to reflect the tax; and that <br />the Public Works Department be authorized to <br />negotiate with the same firm for Bid #1, to - <br />be addressed as a change order but not to <br />exceed $6,200. <br />The Board next reviewed Bid #3 for Security Fencing, <br />and it was determined that since a bid bond was not <br />submitted, all bids should be rejected and that the <br />requirements for a bid bond and a performance bond be <br />deleted. <br />ON MOTION made by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />approved the rejection of all bids for Bid #3, <br />deleting the requirements for a bid bond and <br />a performance bond. <br />Mr. Davis referred to $id #4 for Mechanical items and_ <br />commented that he would like to change the recommendation <br />for this item, as some difficulties have arisen regarding <br />bid requirements. <br />Attorney Brandenburg agreed. He recommended Colkitt <br />Sheet Metal as being the best bidder and meeting all <br />requirements. <br />ON MOTION made by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />awarded Bid #4 to Colkitt Sheet Metal & Air / <br />Conditioning, Inc. for Bid items 4A, C, D, and <br />E in the amount of $25,101, as being the best <br />bid and meeting all the requirements. <br />
