ON MOTION made by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />accepted staff recommendation and awarded Bid #5 <br />to White Electric for Bid items 5A, B, D, E, and <br />F in the amount of $21,784; and change order #1 <br />in the amount of $1,160, as being the lowest <br />and best bid and meeting all the requirements. <br />ON MOTION made by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />approved the recommendation that $65,000 be <br />transferred from the Board Contingency Account <br />#001-906-513-99.91 to the Jail Renovation <br />Account #102-906-523-66.39. <br />BEACHES & SHORES RESTORATION & PRESERVATION COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Commissioner Wodtke reported that the Committee <br />recently discussed the status of the Corps of Engineers' <br />recommended plan as well as possible methods of funding. <br />He added that the paper work on this project has been held <br />up since the first of January, waiting for a new funding <br />formula from the office of Secretary Watts. Commissioner <br />Wodtke commented that just as soon as this information is <br />obtained, he will advise the Board of their status of the <br />Indian River project. <br />Commissioner Wodtke advised that the Committee passed a <br />Motion that the Board and City Council be asked to reaffirm <br />their position with the Corps' plan; send letters to <br />Secretary Watts and the Secretary of the Army in order to <br />get the project report back to the City and the County, who <br />can then make a determination of the plan and seek methods <br />of funding.
