QflK 50 PAGE 78 <br />JUN 16 1982 <br />Public Works Director Davis reported that there has <br />been one change in the preliminary plat. The developer <br />wishes to preserve the trees on the east property line and <br />does not want to put a drainage swale there. He was <br />' informed that his engineer would have to design other <br />drainage provisions to substitute for the east property line <br />swale. They have elected to put in some side lot drainage <br />swales on each lot east of the road and contain the water in <br />these easements. This provision has been incorporated in <br />deed restrictions and covenants, and Mr. Davis had no <br />problem with this. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />granted Final Plat Approval to Meadows <br />...-Subdivision as recommended:by staff. <br />PRESENTATION RE WORD PROCESSOR FOR SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT , <br />Sheriff Dobeck reported that he has three proposals he <br />will go over, and possibly tbe,Commission can make a <br />decision today as to how this should go into the budget. He <br />noted that he has a Lanier representative present to give a <br />demonstration, if the Board desires. <br />Sheriff Dobeck stated they would like to put the <br />machines in the warrants and records department and <br />accounting department for the Jail, Detective Bureau and <br />Organized Crime Bureau, and to assist the Crime Watch <br />Program. Total Cash purchase price would be $89,430, or 36 <br />monthly payments of $3,144, or 60 months at $2,378, and at <br />the end of each of those periods, the merchandise would be <br />theirs. The Sheriff felt if the Board would allow them to <br />purchase the entire package, they certainly would be looking <br />at lease/purchase.
