A UG 419 50 ��6 <br />82 <br />Terson who will maintain the traffic signals is now working <br />for traffic maintenance and also could do some work for <br />building maintenance when he is not working on the signals. <br />It was noted the bids presented to the Board for con- <br />tracting striping would have to be rejected. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Fletcher, the Board unani- <br />mously rejected the bids on road pavement markings <br />per,the recommendation of the County Engineer. <br />Mr. Davis commented that it would be necessary to make <br />some line transfers in the budget and he would like to be <br />authorized to go to emergency purchase for the striping <br />equipment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Fletcher, the Board unani- <br />mously authorized the line transfers necessary <br />to purchase -the striping equipment and to get <br />into the traffic signal maintenance business <br />as per the Public Works Director's recommenda- <br />tion; this to include all necessary steps to <br />get the job done, such as emergency purchase, <br />etc. <br />REQUEST BY -ACT" FOR REFERENDUM ON SALE OF HOSPITAL <br />Chairman Scurlock reported that he had received the <br />following letters from Robert Ballard, Chairman of the <br />Hospital Board of Trustees: <br />73 <br />
