AUG 18 1992 <br />aoK 51 'PAGE -2 <br />documents. <br />(c) Keep -daily reports which record hours on the <br />job site, weather conditions, data relative to <br />questions of extras or deductions, daily <br />activities, a daily progress of construction <br />and test procedures. <br />(d) Furnish County periodic reports of progress of <br />the work and of the Contractor's compliance <br />with the approved progress schedule, schedule <br />of shop drawing submissions and other <br />schedules. <br />(e) Shall review all requests for payments by each <br />Contractor and make a recommendation based upon <br />observations at the site and Engineer's opinion <br />as to whether work performed for which payment <br />is requested conforms to the contract <br />documents. It is not the parties' intention to <br />benefit third parties by the inclusion of this <br />section within the contract and Engineer's <br />undertakings hereunder shall not relieve any <br />Contractor of its obligation to perform the <br />work in conformity with the drawings and <br />specifications and in a workmanlike manner and <br />shall not make the Engineer an insurer of the <br />Contractor's performance and shall not impose <br />upon the Engineer any obligation to insure that <br />the work is performed by contractors in a safe <br />manner. <br />(5) The Engineer and the on-site representative <br />will cooperate and work closely with the County and its represen- <br />tatives. <br />(6) Upon receipt of the on-site representative's <br />recommendation, the Engineer will review and approve or disapprove <br />all estimates for progress and final payments. <br />(7) The Engineer will make final inspection of all <br />construction and will provide written certification of final <br />inspection when, in the opinion of the Engineer, the construction <br />work has been completed and conforms to the contract documents. <br />The Engineer will review and approve the results of all tests. <br />The Engineer will conduct an inspection to determine if the pro- <br />ject has been completed and if the contractor has fulfilled all <br />his obligations pursuant to the contract documents and will make a <br />written recommendation to County with respect to the final payment <br />for the project. <br />tor. <br />(8) Issue all instructions of County to contrac- <br />(9) The Engineer will provide the County with one <br />set of reproducible record drawings (as -built), and two sets of <br />
