Commissioner Lyons commented that the County had a <br />great deal of service from the "Carpetbaggers" in the past <br />few months. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, that the bid be awarded <br />to the second low bidder, Carpetbaggers, in the <br />amount of $5,757, on the grounds that the small <br />difference between their bid and the lowest bid <br />more than compensated for the additional <br />service the County had received from the <br />Carpetbaggers; and that brown be selected as <br />the color of the carpeting. <br />Mr. Storms, of Carpetbaggers, advised that the <br />carpeting used in Judge Stikelether's office on a trial <br />basis could be utilized in the Jury Room. <br />Community Services Director Thomas suggested adding to <br />the Motion that the necessary funding would be charged <br />directly to the construction account #301-131-519-66.51. <br />Commissioner Lyons ADDED TO HIS MOTION that <br />funding would be from account #301-131-519-66.51. <br />Commissioner Bird seconded the ADDITION TO THE <br />MOTION. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
