the Public Defenders; the cost of housing prisoners awaiting <br />state trial, etc. <br />Mr. Al Smith asked -if there is anything in the budget <br />that says we are going to pave the road going to the dump <br />off of South Dixie. <br />In discussion, it was noted that there may be a <br />collector station there, but this is a drainage district <br />right of way. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION on <br />closing the public hearing. It was voted <br />on and carried unanimously. <br />Attorney Brandenburg informed the Board that it is — <br />necessary to have a separate public hearing for each fund, <br />i.e., close the hearing on the General Fund, adopt the <br />tentative millage rate and tentative budget; -etc. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously closed <br />the hearing on the General Fund. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Lyons, Commissioner Fletcher voted <br />in opposition, the Board by a 4 to 1 vote approved <br />a tentative millage of 2.37720 for the General <br />Fund for the fiscal year 1982-83. <br />-ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, Commissioner Fletcher voted <br />in opposition, the Board by a 4 to 1 vote approved <br />a tentative budget of $8,719,586 for the General <br />Fund for the fiscal year 1982-83. <br />25 <br />,<SEP119$2 <br />Rex 51 PAGE <br />
