-DRAINAGE-SUB--ELEMENT-- <br />Local <br />DRAINAGE SUB--ELEMENT <br />Local Road Protection Level of Service <br />3 year storm/24 hr duration - no flood encroachment <br />outside existing easement and right-of-way <br />limits; <br />0 year storm/24 hr. duration - limited encroachment of <br />s+^r^waters in front -a^,a-wear yards; <br />;25 year storm/24 hour duration - greater encroachment of <br />stormwaters in front and rear yards with no <br />minor street flooding(2" maximum); <br />-100 vear storm/3day duration - some street flooding, but no <br />flooding of existing or nr000sed <br />residences. <br />POLICY 1.4: All new storm sewers discharging into any canal <br />or receiving water body shall be designed to convey <br />the permitted discharge after tailwater conditions are <br />POLICY 1.5: All major bridges will be designed to pass the <br />100 year/3 day storm event. <br />P6T._Zcy_: All nnlvnrtS within allFS Sectio leo Drainage <br />Districts' rights-of-way or easements shall be sized and <br />approved by the Drainage District prior to Land Development <br />Permits being issued. <br />POLICY 1.7: Within all new subdivisions wide backlot and <br />front yard drainage easements, as well as side lot swales to <br />provide for localized runoff routing (20' wide minimum), will <br />be required where centralized retention/detention facilities <br />.are not provided. <br />POLICY 1—.8- The County's stormwater management element of <br />the land development code shall require that all new drainage <br />systems connecting to all FS Section 298 drainage district <br />canals be completed prior to certificates of completion being <br />issued by the County. <br />OBJECTIVE 2 Existing Drainage Systems <br />By 1995, existing drainage systems in the county will on average <br />accommodate the b year our storm event.
