r N 0 V 1 7 1992 <br />BOOR <br />reimbursement of funds at a later date resulting from <br />development of adjoining lands. <br />Engineer Robert "Flip" Lloyd felt it would help to have <br />such a statement in the Minutes. <br />Commissioner Fletcher stated he would be willing to <br />include such a statement in the Motion if the Attorney felt <br />it could be done, and Commissioner Lyons had no objection. <br />Attorney Brandenburg confirmed that it could be <br />included. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION, including <br />the statement just discussed. It was voted on <br />and carried unanimously. <br />SEBASTIAN VOLUNTEER FIRE & AMBULANCE SQUAD REQUEST DONATION <br />FOR NEW FIRE STATION <br />Billy Adams of the Sebastian Volunteer Fire Department <br />informed the Board that they are in the process of trying to <br />build a new station on Barber Street; their main goal is to <br />cut down on response time because at the old station tfteyi - <br />have had problems with the railroad tracks being blocked. He <br />continued that this is a joint effort by the Fire Department <br />and the Ambulance Squad, and their plans are to erect a <br />metal building which will house a pumper, a brush truck, and <br />do ambulance. Their goal is $30,000; they have approximately <br />$14,000, of which the City of Sebastian donated $7,000, and <br />the Sebastian City Council has stated that they would match <br />' anything the County would donate up to $10,000. Mr. Adams <br />stated that the Fire Department and the Ambulance Squad have <br />managed to raise about $1,500-$1,600, but it is not easy <br />because the people feel they are being taxed for fire <br />protection already. <br />75 <br />
