BID #160 - AUTO FOR HUD <br />The Board reviewed the following memo: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners DATE: December 22, 1982 FILE: <br />THRU: Michael Wright <br />County Administrator <br />L.�. <br />FROM: Carolyn Goodrich <br />Purchasing Department <br />Manager <br />SUBJECT: IRC BID #160 New 1982 or 1983 <br />4 Door Automobile <br />REFERENCES: <br />1. Description and Conditions <br />The Board approved the purchase of an autsmbbile at the September <br />22, 1982 meeting. <br />Bids were received December 21, 1982 at 10:00 A.M. for IRC BID #160 <br />New 1982 or 1983 4 Door Automobile. <br />20 Bid Proposals were sent out, 9 were received. <br />2. Alternatives and Analysis <br />The low bidder was Sunshine Dodge, Inc., 840 S. U. S. 1, Melbourne,. <br />F1. in the amount of $6,713.15. This vehicle meets or exceeds the <br />specifications. Delivery time is 45 - 60 days. <br />3. Recommendation and Funding <br />It is recommended that IRC BID #160 be awarded to Sunshine Dodge, Inc. <br />Funding is budgeted in Account #108-222-564-66.42. <br />Commissioner Scurlock stated that he wished to put a <br />moratorium on the purchase of any new vehicle and he did not <br />plan to vote for any more passenger type vehicles this year. <br />Administrator Wright reported that this vehicle is for <br />the Section.8 housing group and is not being purchased with <br />our money, but HUD money. <br />Commissioner -Fletcher noted that we loaned money to the <br />Housing Authority. <br />_Chairman Bird made the point that the bidding specifics <br />ask for bids on either new 1982 or 83 vehicles, and he did <br />33 <br />JAN 5 1983 p��r513 <br />
