4) The rear lot swales shall be sloped at a grade <br />of at least .1%, so that they will be drained. <br />5) Future 12th Street right-of-way areas may be <br />graded to provide additional storage. <br />6) Back flow preventing devices (flap gates or <br />similar type) should be installed at the ends of <br />the 24" CMP's within 12th Street right-of-ways. <br />The applicant has agreed to implement these provisions. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that preliminary plat approval be granted to Laurel <br />Court Subdivision subject to the following conditions:. <br />1. That"the.-applicant complies.with the provisions <br />listed in items 1-6 above. <br />2. That the Board of County Commissioners adopt a <br />resolution vacating the existing Ravinia Gardens plat. <br />It is recommended that a typical lot grading plan be <br />submitted or an overall subdivision grading plan be <br />submitted to provide storage of approximately 3" of <br />rainfall or more. This -storage should be at an elevation <br />below the lowest proposed road grade, or such that the <br />crown of the road is not inundated by the 10 year storm. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, to grant <br />preliminary plat approval to Laurel Court <br />Subdivision, subject to conditions 1 through <br />6 as recommended by staff. <br />Developer Peter Robinson stated that he was in agreement <br />with the conditions listed. <br />Commissioner Fletcher raised a question about abandoning <br />thoroughfares, and Community Development Director King did not <br />believe this will have a detrimental impact on any cross flows. <br />He noted that 12th Street is becoming a minor collector. <br />COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL - LURIA'S PLAZA <br />The Board reviewed staff memo dated January 6, 1983, and <br />addendum memo, dated January 19th, as follows: <br />34 <br />JAN 1.9 1983 �' x � PACE603 <br />
