He continued that as soon as the Commission <br />agrees with the concept presented, he will immediately meet <br />with Mr. Diaz and make sure that proper documents are <br />executed. <br />Further discussion ensued as to whether the Florida <br />Medical Group would be willing to accept a long term lease <br />rather than a deed, and Mr. Diaz pointed out that a lease <br />would raise the question of how much the Board of Directors <br />would want to invest in the property and a deed would be <br />much more satisfactory. /1 <br />Commissioner Lyons was glad to see the proposal for the <br />use of this facility beginning to take shap�- He felt that, <br />in broad terms, it does begin to accomplish what the Board <br />had in mind when they gave the Community this opportunity, <br />and did not care whether this property is leased or sold <br />just so long as we have the right kind of reverter to ensure <br />that it always is used for a public purpose. <br />MOTION•WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, to authorize <br />the Administrator and the County Attorney to <br />work with the attorney for the West <br />Wabasso Progressive Civic League and Mr. Diaz to <br />come forth with appropriate leases and other <br />requirements, including a reverter clause, within <br />thirty days. <br />Commissioner Lyons noted that only leases were <br />mentioned in the Motion, and Commissioner Scurlock stated <br />that he wished to see the formal leases that will be entered <br />into to carry out this proposal, but this does not rule out <br />the possibility of deeding to these people. <br />89 <br />
