ORDINANCE 2012-029 <br />(39) Mini storage facilities. Mini storage facilities shall have a minimum of four (4) <br />parking spaces or one (1) space per one hundred (100) storage units, whichever is <br />greater. All spaces shall be located in the proximity of the office. Two (2) additional <br />spaces shall be provided if a manager/watchman residence is included on site. A <br />minimum twenty -eight -foot drive aisle for two-way traffic or twenty (20) feet for <br />one-way traffic shall be provided contiguously along the side of the self -storage <br />facility containing the access points or doors to the individual storage areas. <br />(a) Outdoor storage of vehicles may occur on paved surfaces or stabilized <br />surfaces as approved by the public works director. The outdoor storage area <br />must be screened from any public rights-of-way or adjacent residentially <br />zoned areas by a Type "B" buffer. <br />(40) Mobile home or recreational vehicle sales. One space per five hundred (500) square <br />feet of gross floor area plus one space per twenty-five hundred (2,500) square feet of <br />outside display area. The display area shall be fully sodded. <br />(41) Multiple family dwellings. <br />(a) Two (2) spaces per each dwelling unit; for each dwelling unit over forty (40) <br />units, one-half (1/2) space per unit of the required parking may be fully <br />sodded or otherwise stabilized as approved by the public works director. <br />1. All parking spaces required for multifamily residential uses should be <br />located no further than the following distances from the units they <br />serve: <br />Resident parking: Two hundred (200) feet. <br />Visitor parking: Two hundred fifty (250) feet. <br />Distances shall be measured from a dwelling unit's entry to the <br />parking space. Where a stairway or elevator provides access to <br />dwelling units, the stairway or elevator shall be considered to be the <br />entrance to the dwelling unit. For purposes of measuring these <br />distances, each required parking space shall be assigned to a specific <br />unit on the development plan, whether or not the developer will <br />actually assign spaces for the exclusive use of the specific unit. <br />(b) No recreational vehicles may be parked in required parking spaces but may <br />be stored in areas that are specifically designed for the storage of recreational <br />vehicles. Such recreational vehicle storage areas shall be buffered from <br />adjacent rights-of-way and with a Type "C" buffer. <br />(42) Multi -slip dock.
