F, <br />APR 6,, 1983 B0 53 ?AQF 1 <br />although he did not have a formal change order, he did have <br />a copy of a memo where Mr. Davis recommended that the Board <br />approve a Change Order. <br />Attorney Brandenburg commented that Roanoke Iron Works <br />has agreed to pay Mr. Hedin $200 to deliver the door which <br />is now in his possession to the county, but apparently this <br />is not satisfactory to Mr. Hedin. <br />Debate continued at Length as to who ordered what, <br />when, for whom, the change order which was never executed, <br />the expenses involved, etc. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, seconded <br />by Commissioner Scurlock to deny Mr. Hedin's re- <br />quest because it appears Mr. Hedin's problem is <br />with Barry's Ornamental Iron, the prime contractor. <br />Mr. Hedin stated that he would be willing to sell the <br />door for $4,200. <br />Discussion resumed regarding the fact that no order was <br />ever issued, etc. <br />Commissioner Lyons stated that he would like to with- <br />-.draw his motion and move instead that the County Attorney <br />research the matter and come back with a recommendation, but <br />Commissioner Scurlock did not wish the Attorney to have to <br />make some sort of policy decision. <br />After further discussion, Commissioner Lyons and <br />Scurlock agreed to withdraw their motion. <br />Mr. Hedin again brought -up the letter written by <br />Mr. Davis to Barry's Ornamental Iron on September 8th which <br />indicated a: change order had been approved.
