Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />DESCRIP'T'ION AND cm.TTTON <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing to consider Resolution <br />Providing for the Paving of Portions of <br />`'i 23rd Avenue, 14th Avenue, 38th Avenue, <br />16th Place and lst Place;to consider <br />Preliminary Assessment Rolls , , <br />REFERENCES: <br />Valid petitions have been received from at least 66.7% of the property owners <br />of the following streets <br />1) 23rd Avenue between 1st Street and 4th Street (Preliminary cost ($55,486.36) <br />67% Property Owners. <br />2) 14th Avenue between 12th and 14th Streets. (Preliminary Cost $27,782.66) <br />76% Property Owners. <br />3) 38th Avenue between 2nd and 6th Streets (Preliminary Cost $19,279.64) <br />68% Property Owners, <br />4) 16th Place west of 6th Avenue (Dead End) (Preliminary st $14,797.92) <br />78% Property Owners. <br />5) 1st Place between 15th & 20th Avenues (Preliminary Cost $30,569.70) <br />78% Property Owners. <br />Preliminary assessment rolls have been prepared for the paving and drainage <br />improvements. The total costs of all projects is approximately $147,916.28. <br />There is approximately $147,724.93 now set aside in FY 82-83 budget for Petition <br />Paving Account No. 703-724.93. <br />Also, advertisement of the Public Hearing and notification to the Property Owners <br />have been performed. <br />After consideration of the public input provided at the Public Hearing, it is <br />recommended that motions be made to: <br />1) Adopt resolution, providing for the paving and drainage improvements <br />for each petition paving project, subject to the terms outlined in <br />the Resolutions. <br />2) Approve preliminary assessment rolls including any changes made as <br />a result of the Public Hearing. <br />3) Allocate $147,916.28 from the Petition Paving account to fund this <br />work. Work will be performed when pending assessments are collected <br />as necessary. <br />4) The Road and Bridge Department be notified to begin construction, pending <br />availability of funds. <br />33 <br />MAY 41983 w.. 53 PAGE -369 <br />
