taken to the Planning & Zoning Commission to await the <br />decision on whether or not to waive the time limit, and they <br />will be heard at the next Planning & Zoning Commission <br />meeting. <br />Mrs. Carolyn Eggert of the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />explained that the letter of request from the Town of Indian <br />River Shores was sent directly to the Board and then <br />directed back to the Planning & Zoning Commission. <br />Chairman Bird asked if anyone from the Town of Indian <br />River Shores wished to be heard. <br />Mr. Fritz Gierhart, Mayor of Indian River Shores, <br />addressed the Board and explained that when the County was <br />incorporated, the property owners were given the opportunity <br />to become part of Indian River Shores or, at their own <br />request, remain part of the County. This created the <br />enclaves, but Indian River Shores did not. He felt one of <br />these days the people in the enclaves will realize that it <br />is more beneficial to live in Indian River Shores than in <br />the County and will want to come in and join up. In the <br />meantime, he asked for the Board's indulgence in this <br />matter, and suggested that public hearings be held in order <br />to get something squared away. <br />Chairman Bird asked if anyone else wished to be heard <br />or if there was any further discussion on the Motion. <br />There was none. <br />The Chairman CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />The Motion carried unanimously. <br />DISCUSSION ON REINHOLD LITIGATION <br />Attorney Brandenburg explained that the County has been <br />involved in litigation for quite some time with Reinhold <br />Construction and Connell, Metcalf & Eddy, architects, and <br />they have indicated that they would like to sit down with <br />41 <br />JUL 6 1983 �, DbbK .53 1 <br />
