Hart his belief that the Commission has been very <br />cooperative in trying to bring about improvements in the <br />Gifford community, not only in the parks and recreation <br />area, but water and sewer, as well as roads. <br />Chairman Bird suggested that the Administrator request <br />Mr. Hart to.meet with him and staff and determine the areas <br />where they feel there are inequities, and then we can study <br />those.particular areas. <br />OMB Director Barton pointed out that there may be some <br />problems doing a detailed analysis before 1977 as the State <br />Archives authorized destroyal of checks and warrants before <br />that date. It was generally felt we should just try to <br />identify if there are any inequities and meet with Mr. Hart <br />and the Civic League to determine what some of their <br />priorities are. <br />The Administrator confirmed that he will invite Mr. <br />Hart to discuss this matter with him and with Attorney <br />Brandenburg, and reiterated that he would like the Clerk's <br />assistance with researching the records. <br />The Clerk assured him of her staff's cooperation. <br />WORKSHOP MEETINGS <br />Administrator Wright recommended that we have a joint <br />meeting with the Planning & Zoning Commission on the morning <br />of December 14th, and have a workshop with the Utilities <br />Department that afternoon re the planned water extension to <br />South Beach. Mr. Pinto confirmed he would be ready on that <br />date, and the Board had no objections. <br />REPORT - WELFARE DEPARTMENT <br />Administrator Wright reported that Welfare has set <br />aside $2,500 to handle food and other items which they <br />dispense at Thanksgiving and Christmas. There is a slightly <br />different procedure this year, and they are qualifying <br />people. He believed this department is running out of money <br />139 <br />NOV 16 1983 <br />
