The contractor will be required to comply with all terms of <br />the contract prior to release of payment. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Since this is the final scheduled meeting of the Board prior <br />to June 30, 1984 which is the deadline for all documents related <br />to this grant to be in Tallahassee, the following is recommended: <br />1) Approve authorization for the Chairman of the Board of <br />County Commissioners to sign Change Order No. 8102 -VI - <br />2 in the amount of $2,691.15. <br />2) Accept project as completed upon inspection and approval <br />of same by Tommy Thomas and Jim Davis. All warranty periods <br />will begin on that date. <br />3) Approve final payment in the amount of $19,691.15 to be <br />held until project is complete as per No. 2 above. <br />4) Authorize Jim Davis to accept contractor's affidavit. <br />Funding to be from Account #102-210-572-66.39 Tracking Station <br />Park Construction account. <br />County Engineer, V. G. Griffith, stated that the con- <br />tractor, James P. Warr, is requesting that the Commission <br />approve final payment in the amount of $19,691.15 with the <br />provision that payment will be held until such time as the <br />project is completed, which is expected to be the 26th of <br />this month. He noted there is a June 30th deadline to get <br />all the paperwork to Tallahassee in order to obtain grant <br />money. <br />Administrator Wright explained that the DER required <br />that the length of the walkover to be increased by 16 feet, <br />which resulted in an additional cost of $2,691. The original <br />length was 104 feet. He asked the Board to approve the <br />additional cost as part of the change order. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board <br />unanimously (4-0) approved Change Order No. <br />8102 -VI -2 in the amount of $2,691.15 for a 16 ft. <br />extension of the third crossover in the Tracking <br />Station Park; with the funding to come from grant <br />11 <br />JUN 194 eoo <br />4 <br />7^E <br />
