authorize any compensation until we go to one plan or <br />another. <br />Finance Director Fry confirmed that the Statute says <br />the checks will not be paid until the report is filed. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried 3 to 1 with <br />Commissioner Bird voting in opposition and <br />Commissioner Lyons being absent. <br />Commissioner Wodtke requested that, based on the Motion <br />just passed, the Clerk be receptive to paying the $200 <br />allowance at this time, and Administrator Wright requested <br />that the Board go on record that they consider $200 a <br />reasonable sum for readiness to serve and to have a car <br />available and that the employees will file a report as soon <br />as possible and an annual one thereafter. <br />The Board members confirmed that was their position. <br />DISCUSSION RE PROHIBITING TRAIN WHISTLES AT CERTAIN HOURS <br />Chairman Scurlock announced that we have received <br />petitions both in favor of banning the train whistles at <br />guarded crossings between the hours of 10 P.M. and 6 A.M. <br />and in opposition to imposing such a ban. Said petitions <br />are on file in the Office of the Clerk. <br />Commissioner Bird believed the City was in the process <br />of drawing up a Resolution in this regard, but Attorney <br />Brandenburg informed the Board that the City thought it <br />would be better for us to draw up an ordinance and have it <br />countywide. <br />Commissioner Wodtke asked if we can't invite the cities <br />to a meeting to discuss this, and Commissioner Bird <br />suggested that we prepare an ordinance and submit it to the <br />JUL 111984 96 <br />BOOK 57 PA;E l 04 <br />
