When a large <br />project comes in, we will be able to plug it into that <br />program and see how it affects the County's Thoroughfare <br />Plan. <br />Commissioner Wodtke questioned the granting of <br />reasonable extensions of contract time under Section IV, <br />TIME FOR COMPLETION on Page 11. <br />Administrator Wright felt that we could not hold the <br />Engineer liable for any delay caused by the County. He <br />pointed out that staff is doing a lot of demographic work <br />not only for this study but the water and sewer studies as <br />well, and they all should coordinate. <br />Attorney Brandenburg stated that in the event a delay <br />was caused by the County in providing necessary data, an <br />extension of time would be granted. There would not be any <br />additional compensation in such a case. If the Engineer <br />felt an extension was needed, he should put the cause of <br />delay in a written request for an extension. <br />Director Davis suggested that a change be made on Page <br />11 under Sedtion IV - TIME FOR COMPLETION: The last <br />sentence of that section should read: "Reasonable Extension <br />of the Contract time shall be granted in the event there is <br />a delay on the part of the County in fulfilling its part of <br />the work for acts beyond their control." <br />Director Davis pointed out a typo on Page 11 under <br />Section V - BASIC COMPENSATION. The amount of $115,000 <br />mentioned in the last sentence should be $119,000. <br />Commissioner Wodtke noted that, basically, the contract <br />time is seven months (200 days). <br />Director Davis thought that staff would do the most <br />work during the first phase, the inventory phase.
