CPA/Nodes <br />Chief, Long -Range Planning CHIEF <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting of August 15, 1984. <br />DESCRIPTION & CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County is initiating a request to amend the text <br />of the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan providing for <br />establishing core area boundaries and outer limit boundaries <br />for each of the commercial, commercial/industrial, industrial, <br />tourist/commercial, and hospital/commercial nodes as designated <br />on the Land Use Map and described in the text of the Land Use <br />Element of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />During the three joint workshops between the Board of County <br />Commissioners and the Planning and Zoning Commission concerning <br />the County's commercial nodes, it was decided to establish core <br />area boundaries and outer limit boundaries for each of the <br />nodes to assist in determining whether or not a particular <br />property is in a node. <br />On July 12, 1984, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted <br />5 -to -0 to recommend approval of this request. <br />ALTERNATIVES & ANALYSIS <br />In order to provide for establishing these boundaries, the <br />following amendment to the Comprehensive Plan is proposed: <br />1.
