He <br />reported that we did advertise, but only one bid was <br />received. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />awarded the contract for the computer communi- <br />cation cable to the,low bidder, David N. Myers <br />DNM Cable Construction, Inc., in the amount of <br />$3,867.85, without requiring a construction bond. <br />4 i wpp- <br />CHANGE ORDER - WATER MAIN EXTENSION SOUTH GIFFORD ROAD,,,,J,, <br />0 <br />Public Works Director Davis informed the Board that the <br />contractor who is bringing the water main to the Humane <br />Society and the Road & Bridge complex is moving very quickly <br />and for an increase of $30,778.75 will bring the water line <br />900' into the Jail site. Staff feels the contractor's <br />prices are very good. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked if this will be reimbursible <br />from the mechanism we find to finance the jail, and the <br />Administrator believed it will. He noted they will keep a <br />separate set of books on this. <br />Commissioner Wodtke asked if that line will be <br />available to serve other people, and Administrator Wright <br />stated that it will be open to anyone along the line. He <br />further noted that it also loops the system. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />approved Change Order Number 1, on the 43rd <br />Avenue Water Main Extension at South Gifford <br />Road.
