In essence, we are <br />buying the in-place equipment with a certain amount of <br />credit or equity that has been built up over the last 2-3 <br />years. If we change to another system, we would be faced <br />with lines and terminals which might have to be torn out and <br />replaced. He noted that Indian River Memorial Hospital <br />changed to another phone system and later went back to <br />Southern Bell because they were having trouble with <br />equipment and with service. Mr. Williams advised that we <br />have additional capacity for another 150 stations and could <br />double the trunks we now have, so it is not likely that we <br />would outgrow the system. He also pointed out that trying <br />to write bid specifications for another phone system would <br />be very, very difficult. <br />Commissioner Wodtke stated that he still would like -to <br />see some additional figures for comparison. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
