Commissioner Bird noted that the Planning Department set <br />aside a specific amount for Solin to do the Zoning Code, and he <br />asked about taking the money from their budget under Other <br />Professional Service. <br />Mr. Keating stated that account is very limited, but <br />Commissioner Bird felt if the money is in that fund, that is <br />where it should come from. <br />Commissioner Wodtke agreed, noting that we are doing <br />something very special for a very special area. <br />Administrator Wright pointed out that this actually is part <br />of the Zoning Code, and we are funding the Zoning Code out of the <br />MSTU; Chairman Scurlock noted that we do have a park there and <br />our sanitary sewer situation could be improved also. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />Administrator Wright then addressed the second issue. <br />2) A plan recommendation for Blue Cypress, which will require <br />engineering and probably a special taxing district of some sort. <br />He stated that staff needs authorization to proceed with <br />negotiating a contract with the engineering firm to bring back to <br />the Board, and he felt this would simply entail an extension of <br />the existing contract with the people who are doing the Sewer <br />Master Plan and the SR 60 transmission main. If a satisfactory <br />price cannot be agreed upon, the Administrator stated that he <br />would come back to the Board for further direction. <br />Commissioner Bird noted that we have some pretty high priced <br />talent present in the audience today, and he would like to hear <br />their comments. <br />Attorney Robert Jackson came before the Board representing <br />the property owners who have leased property out there for 99 <br />years.
