At that time the Board authorized the road crew to <br />make temporary repairs and there had been some discussion about <br />accepting it for maintenance. As a result, Director Davis <br />became involved with the property owners who now want to know <br />how much this would cost. <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis pointed out that none of <br />this property is owned by the County and most of the property <br />owners have agreed to donate the right-of-way, but he has not <br />had a chance to contact a few of the property owners. There has <br />been some special consideration given to this situation already, <br />due to the nature of the metes and bounds and that it is an <br />awkward place to work. In addition, people have expressed their <br />inability to pay this amount if it was treated as a normal <br />assessment type procedure. All the lots are of different sizes <br />-- it is not a platted subdivision. <br />Chairman Scurlock personally felt that we should consider a <br />special payment policy spreading the payment over a longer <br />period of time and also consider a lower interest rate than <br />43 <br />
