In being allowed to <br />attend the TRC meeting, the applicant is also made aware of the <br />reasoning behind the comments on the plan. <br />In its initial 6 months of functioning, the Technical Review <br />Committee system has proven beneficial to both applicant and <br />reviewer, and it has served to assuage the concerns of the <br />development community. <br />Matthew Gore, local architect, wished to commend the <br />Commission for having set up this committee, which he believed <br />has been a great help in moving things forward in a timely <br />fashion. <br />AGREEMENT WITH TOWN OF ORCHID RE TRAFFIC ON BARRIER ISLAND <br />Attorney Brandenburg reported that the Town of Orchid has <br />agreed to the proposed agreement with one change on Page 2, <br />Section 5. Instead of stating that they "will cooperate to plan <br />and assure that sufficient funding will be available.....," they <br />prefer to state that they will cooperate and leave out "assure." <br />He further noted that there is one typo in Section 2 - 19,000 <br />trips should be corrected to 19,100. <br />The Chairman had some questions regarding the trip and <br />percentage figures and did not believe that all the area in the <br />78% is in the County area. It was noted that this is based on <br />the Hutchinson Island Study, which some have found objectionable. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />approved the Agreement with the Town of Orchid <br />re allocation of traffic capacity on the barrier <br />island and authorized the signature of the <br />Chairman. <br />Chairman Lyons expressed his thanks to the Town of Orchid <br />for working together with us on this matter. <br />38 <br />JA 16 1985 R,,�,� � =A 51 <br />
