He wished to know if the present intent is to avoid <br />creating another Aerodrome situation, and this also was <br />confirmed. <br />Attorney Brandenburg believed there is a distinction between <br />someone who just lands on their own property and bypasses the <br />F.A.A. as opposed to someone who sets up an airport. <br />Chairman Lyons felt someone who wished to have just an <br />airstrip certainly doesn't need to comply with all this criteria. <br />Director Keating reported that Planning recently had someone <br />come in who has been using an airstrip on his property, but <br />believed he did have to get F.A.A. approval. <br />Chairman Lyons noted there are some groves with airstrips, <br />and he doubted they are subject to all these requirements; he <br />felt this section takes in more than we had in mind. <br />Attorney Brandenburg felt a distinction could be handled in <br />the definition section by defining airport and airstrips as not <br />including the person who flies into his grove or his thirty acre <br />backyard. The Board agreed it should be handled in this manner. <br />Commissioner Bird had a question about fruit and vegetable <br />stands. He wished to know if we are saying we can only put these <br />in Agricultural Districts and eliminate those in Commercial <br />areas. <br />Planner Shearer noted that we are not dealing with Commer- <br />cial Districts today, and such stands will be provided for in <br />some of the new Commercial Districts. <br />Page 58 - Paragraph c.i. - Chairman Lyons wished to know <br />what constitutes a major sewage treat plant and major water <br />purification plant, and Director Keating reported that this is <br />set out in the definition section. <br />Pages 59 and 60 - no changes. <br />Page 61 - 25.3D. - Conditions and Safeguards. Attorney <br />Brandenburg suggested that the first sentence be changed to read <br />- "In granting any special exception, the Board of County <br />27 <br />JAN 1 ��� BOOK F�,E 481 <br />
