F' -- <br />JAN 23 1985 <br />BOOK 59 P�;E 675 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board by a vote of 3-0, <br />Chairman Lyons being absent and Commissioner Wodtke <br />being delayed, authorized negotiations with Sippel, <br />Masteller, Lorenz and Hoover, Inc. for an amount not <br />to exceed $2,985, as recommended by staff. <br />(CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK) <br />�ESPONSE TO COAST GUARD NOTICE RE BARBER BRIDGE OPENINGS <br />The Board reviewed the following notice dated 1/8/85: <br />I PROPOSED REGULATIONS: In consideration of the foregoing, the Coast Guard proposes to <br />I <br />amend Part 117 of Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations, by revising Section 117.261(i)(1) to <br />read as follows: ' <br />Part 117 DRAWBRIDGE OPERATION REGULATIONS. <br />117.261 ATLANTIC INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY FROM ST. MARYS RIVER TO MIAMI <br />(i)(1) The draw of the SR -60 bridge, Mile 951.9, at Vero Beach, shall open on signal except as <br />provided for in paragraphs (i)(1)(i) and (i)(1)(ii) of this section. <br />(i) From 7:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.; 12:00 noon to 1:15 p.m.; and 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.; Monday <br />through Friday, except national holidays, the draw need only open at 8:30 a.m., . 12:30 p.m. <br />and 4:30 p.m. if any vessels are waiting to pass. <br />(ii) From 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 1 December through 30 April, Monday through Friday, <br />except national holidays, and except as provided for in paragraph (1) the draw need only be <br />opened on the hour, quarter-hour, half-hour and three-quarter hour if any vessels are waiting <br />to pass. <br />(iii) Public vessels of the United States, state or local government vessels used for public <br />service, tugs with tows, regularly scheduled cruise vessels and vessels in distress shall be <br />passed at any time. <br />FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Mr. Walt Paskowsky, Bridge Administration <br />Specialist, telephone (305)-350-4108. <br />52 <br />� � r <br />I <br />
