FEB 27 1995 <br />BOOK eke P,,IJE � <br />Commissioner Scurlock stressed that the Commission is <br />waiting for the Beach Committee to come up with the best <br />plan possible so that we can determine the best funding <br />method to accomplish it. <br />Commissioner Wodtke reported that he has created a <br />non-voting technical advisory subcommittee out of the Beach <br />Committee which includes Coastal Engineer, George Dawes; <br />County Engineer, Don Finney; and Mike Walters, formerly with <br />Strock; and while our Environmental Planner Art Challacombe <br />would love to have the Board put him full-time on this <br />project, his job responsibilities with the County do not <br />permit it. <br />Chairman Lyons believed that the Commission is saying <br />that they are willing to give the Beach Committee more help. <br />Commissioner Wodtke felt that the Committee would be <br />ready within 30-60 days to bring to the Board for approval a <br />scope of work for a beach management plan. <br />Chairman Lyons stated that was why he was suggesting a <br />full-time employee, because time is of the essence as people <br />do not know where they stand or what to expect. <br />Commissioner Bowman felt that the full-time employee <br />should also be an expediter for grants. <br />Commissioner Bird returned to the meeting at 10:35 <br />o'clock A.M. <br />REQUEST FOR USE OF FAIRGROUNDS PROPERTY <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 2/20/85: <br />30 <br />� r � <br />
