Director Keating agreed and noted the staff memo stated that <br />the whole property would attract about 5,626 average daily trips. <br />Commissioner Bird asked how they go about estimating the <br />dollars and cents in relation to the number of trips per day, and <br />Director Keating stated that this is based on I.T.E. (Institute <br />of Traffic Engineering) standards. <br />Commissioner Bowman emphasized that she is very much opposed <br />to having that corner commercial and would much prefer to have it <br />squared off and developed residential. She felt the neighborhood <br />deserves it. <br />Administrator Wright still wished more specific instruc- <br />tions; he believed the Board wants a traffic analysis and asked <br />if they are saying go back and extract money. <br />Chairman Lyons stated that we want to continue the public <br />hearing for thirty days and have Mr. Sullivan submit a conceptual <br />plan to the Planning Department to analyze. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, Commissioner Bird voting in <br />opposition, the Board by a 4 to 1 vote, agreed to continue <br />the public hearing for thirty days and require the <br />applicant during this time to submit to the Planning <br />staff a conceptual site plan for them to analyze, <br />estimate the trips this could generate, relate this to <br />traffic impact, and come back with a proposal of how this <br />impact can be offset. <br />HAZARDOUS WASTE ASSESSMENT <br />Environmental Engineering Specialist Ron Brooks made the <br />staff presentation and reviewed the following memo; <br />49 BOOK Cu' F''GF 414 <br />
