CANCELLATION OF RADIO MAINTENANCE CONTRACT - EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />General Services Director Dean reviewed the following memo <br />and letter: <br />TO: The Board of County DATE: August 28, 1985 FILE: <br />Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: RADIO MAINTENANCE CONTRACT <br />9. -P - -W, / 44M, <br />FROM: James P. Wilson, REFERENCES: <br />Asst. County Attorney <br />In 1984, Indian River County entered into an agreement regarding service <br />of County radio equipment with Dave's Communications of Ft. Pierce. -- <br />Steve Wells, Director of Emergency Management, has expressed <br />dissatisfaction with the service provided by Dave's Communications, <br />pursuant to this agreement. Particularly, Dave's Communications has <br />failed to align approximately 100 of the radios as required by Provision <br />8 of the agreement. Additionally, Dave's Communications has not, until <br />recently, provided the County with a monthly tabulation of service as <br />required by Provision 13 of the contract. <br />Mr. Wells will appear before the Board on September 4th to outline the <br />particulars of his complaints regarding the contractor's performance and <br />the Commission must decide whether to honor the time remaining on the <br />contract at that time. At that time, the Commission will hear <br />testimony from Steve Wells, Director of Emergency Management for <br />Indian River County, regarding your company's alleged breech of <br />conditions 8 and 13 of the above -referenced contract, as well as <br />your company's performance in general under the contract. <br />It would be in your best interest to appear at this meeting in <br />order to hear Mr. Well's testimony and, if necessary, address the <br />Board regarding this testimony.
