BOONE 2-21-86 ATTACHED <br />ENGINEERING OPERATIONS MANAGER HERETO <br />BACKGROUND <br />The owner of the Commercial Property located at 699 - 17th Street, which <br />is in the County's Utility Service Area, has requested that water service <br />be provided by the City of Vero Beach. <br />ANALYSIS <br />There is no County water service available to the site, the nearest <br />County water main runs along the 6th Avenue Right -of -Way some 520 feet <br />away. However, located along 17th Street there is 'a City of Vero Beach <br />water main adjacent to the subject property. <br />10 <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners authorize <br />releasing the subject property from the County Utility Service Area. The <br />attached letter has been prepared for your signature to expedite this <br />matter. <br />LH4 <br />February 21, 1986 <br />Tem Pinto, Director of Utilities <br />Indian River County <br />County Administration Bldg. <br />Vero Beach, FL <br />Dear Mr. Pinto: <br />I oval an office building, having five tenants, located at 699 17th Street, <br />Vero Beach, FL, property being in the county. Present utility service <br />of building - s by yell and septic tank. <br />Do to the recent spillage of an estimated 14,000 gallons of gas into the <br />ground at the Amoco Station, which is approximately 400 feet west of my <br />n-cpera-y, I have requested utility service from the City of Vero Beach. <br />City Auger John Little has approved the request and Mr. Hillman Goff <br />states it will be necessary to obtain a letter, signed by the Indian River <br />C =ty Board of County Commission chairperson, releasing our property <br />front the amity service area in order to proceed with the connection. <br />I enclose a mop obtained from Mr. Goff showing the city -fluter lines in <br />relation to our property. <br />I'm very anxious to proceed with this effort and will appreciate your <br />assistance in expediting the required written release. <br />Sincaerely # <br />Betty A. s 20 <br />
