Heath RE/Scan pn s <br />FROM: Code Enforcement Officer REFERENCES: DIS : REMS F� <br />It is requested that the data herein'presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting of May 7, 1986. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />The County has been petitioned by John L. and Janet R. - Scanlon, <br />owners of the, subject property,. for the release- of the <br />southerly ten' -:..(10) foot utility easement of Lot 5, Genesea <br />Subdivision, being the southerly,-. ten. (10) foot of Lot 5, <br />Genesea Subdivision, Section 27, Township 33 South, Range 40, <br />as recorded in Plat Book 11, Page 7, of the. Public Records of <br />Indian River County, Florida. It -is Mr. and Mrs. Scanlon's <br />intention to construct a single family residence on the site, <br />and the easement is no longer needed due to the rerouting of <br />the electric utility services by the City of Vero Beach. <br />The current zoning classification is RS -3, Single -Family <br />Residential District. The land use designation is LD -1, Low <br />Density Residential, up to three (3) units per acre. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />The request has. been reviewed by Southern Bell, -Vero Beach <br />Power Company, Florida Cablevision Corporation, and the Indian <br />River County Right -of -Way Department. Based upon their review, <br />there were no objections to the release of the southerly ten <br />foot utility easement. The zoning staff analysis, which <br />included a site visit, showed that the -Vero Beach Power Company <br />had used an alternate method of supplying electricity to the <br />subdivision. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends to the Board, through adoption of a <br />resolution, the release of the southerly ten (10) foot utility <br />easement of Lot 5, Genesea Subdivision, as recorded in Plat <br />Book 11, Page 7, of the Public Records of Indian River County, <br />Florida. <br />15 <br />Y 7 1986 BOOK 64F„c <br />
