Necessary accommodations that meet the disability related access and functional needs of <br /> participants should be provided <br /> 1. Program Requirements <br /> The following are required items to be provided to participate under the CERT Sub-grant: (NOTE. <br /> Special exemption can be granted by the State Citizen Corps/CERT office) <br /> A. PPE Equipment that shall include <br /> • Hard hat <br /> • Protective Eyewear <br /> • Dust Mask <br /> • ID Tag <br /> • HEPA Mask <br /> • Tape <br /> • Light Stick <br /> • Latex, or Nitrate Gloves <br /> • Marking Caulk, or Crayon <br /> • Signal Whistle <br /> • Flashlight(simple) <br /> • Bag/Backpack <br /> • Reflective Vest <br /> • Cardboard, or simple splint <br /> • Work Gloves <br /> • Disaster medical care items for at least 3 victims such as gauze, triangles, etc. <br /> B. Participant manuals. <br /> C. Standard.Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs). <br /> D. Certificates. <br /> E. CERT trainings and events should be posted on the National Citizen Corps Calendar <br /> Website, SERT Trac State Calendar and approved by the State Citizen Corps/CERT office. <br /> The following are required items for the CERT Basic Training Course to be taught under this sub- <br /> grant. <br /> 1 Use of the full FEMA/EMI/FDEM CERT Basic Training Course G317, <br /> (Including the terrorism module and showing the Sheltering-In-Place Video <br /> (DVD), <br /> 2. Use of a G428 CERT Train-the-Trainer(TTT)qualified individual (FEMA/FDEM <br /> graduate of the CERT TTT, or Trainer Course) as Program Manager, course <br /> manager, or lead instructor; <br /> 3 Use of a G427 qualified individual (FEMA/FDEM graduate of the CERT TTT, or <br /> Trainer Course) as Program Manager; and <br /> 4 Use of an adequate training facility <br /> It is the responsibility of the applicant to arrange and compensate course managers for CERT <br /> trainings and course manuals <br /> Tracking and reporting the number of trained CERT volunteers is not only a State of Florida <br /> priority, but also a DHS/ODP priority It is required to have a database to track the number of <br /> trained volunteers, as well as someone, to monitor/enter data to such a database <br /> 34 <br />
