Keatihg, CP <br />Planning & Development Director <br />FROM: Art Challacombe REFERENCES: City of Vero <br />Chief, Environmental Planning DIS:ARTCHA <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting on May 28, 1986. <br />DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION APPLICATION <br />FILE NO. 31-110329-4 <br />APPLICANT: City of Vero Beach <br />1053 20th Place <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32961 <br />WATER & LOCATION: The project is located in the Indian River <br />north of the Merrill Barber bridge in Sections 30/31, Township <br />32 South, Range 40 East, Indian River County, Florida. <br />WORK & PURPOSE: The applicant proposes to mark and place <br />regulatory signs in a special anchorage area designated by the <br />U.S. Coast Guard effective February 5, 1986. <br />ALTERNATIVE & ANALYSIS: <br />The Planning and Development Division reviews and submits <br />comments on dredge and fill applications to the permitting <br />agencies based upon the following: <br />- The Conservation & Coastal Zone Management Element of the <br />Indian River Comprehensive Plan <br />- Coastal Zone Management, Interim Goals, Objectives & <br />Policies for the Treasure Coast Region <br />- The Hutchinson Island Planning & Management Plan <br />- The Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners <br />authorize staff to forward the following comment regarding this <br />project to the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation: <br />1) Indian River County has no objection to the proposed <br />project. <br />15 <br />MAY 2 8 1986 BOOK 64 P,�UC,559 <br />L-7 - <br />
