M�� <br />BOOB 65 F�q )E 82.'o <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that Administrator Balczun sug- <br />i gested the Resolution be reworded to state that " whereas <br />sufficient funds are available." <br />Attorney Wilson emphasized that these funds will be needed <br />quite quickly, and Chairman Scurlock reported that the Finance <br />Advisory Board is working on these different projects and their <br />funding and trying to put together all of our bond issue so it <br />can be put in a form to present to the Commission. Some of the <br />projects are hard to get a handle on because various questions <br />have not been determined, and he did not want to get into a <br />situation again of being faced with a shortfall. <br />Commissioner Bird continued to express concern about the <br />people who would be relocated, and General Services Director Dean <br />advised that staff sent them a registered letter asking them to <br />come in and discuss relocation. Staff has talked to two of the <br />property owners and made an offer to assist them in any way to <br />relocate. It was felt we might be able to move the house of one <br />of the residents from one lot to another, but they backed out at <br />the last moment. Director Dean stressed that staff has done <br />everything they can to offer assistance, and he personally has <br />gone out and knocked on the doors. <br />Commissioner Bowman stated that she has some contacts there <br />and may be able to do something. <br />Director Dean emphasized that we are really stymied until we <br />get past this step; we can't get site plan approval; and we must <br />have the easements abandoned. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (3-0) adopted <br />Resolution 86-82 authorizing the acquisition.of cer- <br />tain real property by eminent domain with the change <br />in wording stating "whereas, sufficient funds are <br />available" and with the understanding that we will make <br />the move as equitable as possible for the property owners. <br />28 <br />
